A few days ago, I received a note from my friend, Molly to write more in my blog. I am grateful for the reminder. That said, I find that determining which medium to post on creates a slight feeling of overwhelm which immediately leads to procrastination.
During the last few months, I have noticed a resurgence in creativity, ideas, and thoughts that are coming as fast as they are going. If I don't write them down, it seems like they disappear into the ethers of the the Universe. For me, I love to write, I love to express myself in the written and spoken word. It is a tool for me - a tool that seems to be one of my greatest forms of knowledge, growth and learning. When I write or speak, in response to something I read or hear, it is as if my brain begins to fire and create all kinds of synapses or connections that lead to a deepened awareness, a new insight, or even an "aha" moment.
I think it is the perfectionist inside of me that wants to make sure that what I write and choose to share has meaning and I want to make sure I select the most appropriate medium. For now, my mediums are my website, ExecutiveAwakenings.com, the Awakenings Newsletter, the Conscious Conversations Blog, and my personal blog - this one. Having these three mediums gives me too many options and seems to stop my desire to write on a daily basis - leaving it to be a weekly task which always takes up almost an entire day of writing, editing, designing, and publishing. Ahhh! What to do?
I trust I will figure it out as long as I keep at it. I see that I can surrender to the process and experiment with it, finding out what works for me. I trust that clarity will come and my desire and passion for writing will be nourished.
